Thank you very much for your great course. Although I am usually skeptical about online courses, I found your course very informative, easy to follow and very beneficial in passing the state exam. You offer absolutely outstanding customer service!
Your training was quick, easy to understand, & concise. Having a copy of the presentation slides was also very handy. They helped answer several questions that were otherwise vague in the notary law & handbook. Thanks for offering a great program!

What's the process to become a Notary?
There are three major steps:
- Complete this online Colorado Notary training course.
- Pass the State's online exam.
- Submit your application to the State online, including your certificate of training completion from this course and your certificate from passing the State's exam. Both of these are provided in a pdf format for easy online submission to the State.
We cover all of these steps in great detail during our course. We also link to the appropriate pages on the State's website to make it easy.
Can I stop and then resume the training at a later time?
Of course! We know that sometimes it can be difficult to set time aside for training. That's why the one hour training video can be stopped and resumed at any time. To resume, simple scrub to (fast forward) the part where you left off when you log in again. We recommend writing down the timestamp of where you left off to be sure you don't miss anything. Please note that the training quiz (taken after watching the video) must be completed in one sitting since it's a test. If you need to leave the training in the middle of the quiz you'll be presented with a new quiz the next time you attempt it.
I've never taken an online course before. How can I know if I'll do well?
If you can watch the video on this page, were able to click to expand this question, and can fill out the form on the checkout page, then you have all of the technical skills necessary to succeed. The Colorado Notary training course contains a similar video, similar expandable content, and a quiz similar to the web form on the checkout page (but it's multiple choice).
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club through our secure checkout.
What's the total cost to become a Notary?
Add the following items:
- The cost of this training course.
- The cost to apply to the State. Note that the State suggests that training vendors NOT quote this price so we're following the State's directions by asking you to look for this fee on its website.
- The cost of your supplies (e.g., seal/stamp and journal). Please refer to the next question for more information about this cost.
Since these prices can change and depend on your own purchase decisions, it's difficult to quote an exact price, but the total cost for becoming a new Notary should be around or under $90. That includes this training course, your state application fee, and all of the required supplies. Note that this total cost could be lower depending on your own choices. It might also be higher if you choose premium supplies (which are not really necessary), other training courses, or a training course packaged with supplies.
We've written a more detailed explanation to this question at our blog here: How much does it cost to become a notary in Colorado?
Do you sell seals/stamps, journals, or other supplies?
Not directly, but it's because of a good reason that benefits you. We've found that most training providers in general (not specifically notary training providers) are either supply sellers first and trainers second or trainers first and supply sellers second. That means that they're usually not really good at both. Let us explain. Suppose you sell supplies. One day you might realize that you can also sell training to your customers, but you're not really a trainer; you're a supplier. Since your specialty isn't training you might not make a great course. Now suppose you're a trainer. You probably made a great training course, but one day you realize that you can make more money by selling supplies to your training customers. Since your specialty is not retail, you're probably not going to be able to offer the best prices. We don't know which other notary training vendors that sell supplies are trainers first or which are suppliers first, but we do know that you can usually find supplies at much less expensive prices by purchasing them directly from suppliers that specialize in notary supplies. We're a training company that specializes in training so we don't sell retail products. A seal shouldn't cost you more than about $10-$20 and a journal shouldn't cost more than about $15-$20. Those are the prices you'll see if you go to someone that specializes in supplies. Training providers typically can't match these prices. That's why we have partnered with a supply company. Please visit the Notary Supplies section of this site for more information.
A number of people in my office want to take your course. Do you give discounts to groups?
Of course! Please contact us for special group pricing. Please include the number of people in your group and the expected timeframe for completion. We don't make everyone complete the training at once so we can still offer a group discount even if you think your company might need to train multiple people over the course of a long period of time. We also do not require any prepayment for group discounts. Simply pay the discounted price for each employee as you need to without tying up your budget with large bulk training package purchases.
What if I have questions before, during, or after the course?
We're here to answer all of your questions. Please use the contact form to email us or give us a call.
